Professionals : Steven J. Tringale

Steven J. Tringale is Managing Director of Hinckley, Allen & Tringale. Prior to joining Hinckley, Allen & Tringale, he was President, Senior Division at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Prior to his experience at Blue Cross, Steve was Senior Vice President for Health Policy for the Life Insurance Association of Massachusetts (LIAM). LIAM is an association of major domestic commercial insurers. In this role, he was responsible for the development of public policy for the commercial health insurers as well as the development of reimbursement and product strategies. Steve's early experience included positions at the Massachusetts Rate Setting Commission and the Joint Committee on Health Care of the Massachusetts Legislature. Steve has been actively involved in a large number of appointed and volunteer boards and commissions in Massachusetts and nationally, including serving as chair of the Massachusetts Statewide Health Coordinating Council; board member and chair of the Mayor's Commission on access to health care for the City of Boston, and three Gubernatorial Commissions formed to restructure the health finance and regulation system in Massachusetts. He was also a governor's appointee to the Health Facilities Appeals Board and a past board member of the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium. Steve has served on an Institute of Medicine Board examining the roles of academic medical centers in the changing health care environment.
